The German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), together with the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), is pleased to invite you to a high-level think-tank event to discuss the future of the EU’s Eastern Partnership ahead of its 2021 summit.

The event will bring together key policy-makers and think tankers to discuss current challenges, opportunities, and ways forward. It will consist of three separate parts. The main one is a high-level panel discussion with policy-makers and senior experts on the broader expectations for the December summit. It will be followed by two spotlight sessions, each of which will focus on a pressing crisis for the EaP. The first session will examine the political situation in Belarus; the second the continued existence of unresolved conflicts in the EU’s eastern neighborhood.

The event is co-hosted by the German Council on Foreign Relations’ Network of Think Tanks on the Eastern Partnership, a network of more than ninety think tanks working on the EaP. Discussions will be online.
