G7

In 2022, Germany assumed the year-long presidency of the G7. It did so at a time shaken by crises in which there is no shortage of issues that the group must address. Germany plans to focus on climate protection as well as health care policy and the prevention of future pandemics. Other important discussions occupying the G7 will revolve around how to deal with non-market economies such as China and the conflict over Ukraine. Here, DGAP will comment on the goals of the German government during its G7 presidency and provide in-depth analysis on individual thematic areas.
