The German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), in cooperation with the Robert Bosch Academy, cordially invites you to the next event in its “DGAP Professionals” networking series:

Moldova’s EU Aspirations: Navigating Economic and Political Realities
February 6, 2025, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
(admission as of 6:00 p.m.)
Robert Bosch Stiftung, Französische Straße 32, 10117 Berlin

Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine has reshaped the geopolitical landscape in the region. As Ukraine’s neighbor, Moldova has faced unprecedented levels of Russian hybrid warfare, including security challenges, energy blackmail, and electoral interference.

Moldova now stands at a critical crossroads. On the one hand, the European Union has initiated accession talks, offering a pathway toward European integration. On the other hand, Russia is intensifying efforts to destabilize Moldova, aiming to steer the country toward a pro-Kremlin trajectory.

At this event, our experts will explore the opportunities and challenges for Moldova’s EU integration, analyze the impact of Russian interference, and examine the country’s economic prospects in the context of EU accession. Following the discussion, a light dinner will provide an opportunity for networking and further exchange on this important topic.

Welcoming Address:
Antonio Fox, Senior Project Manager, Robert Bosch Academy

Speakers:
Natalia Gavrilița, Former Prime Minster of Moldova (2021–2023); Founder and Director, Partnerships for New Economy; Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow, Robert Bosch Academy
