The US Elections: Expectations, Perspectives, Implications

Tuesday, September 10, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.)
DGAP, Rauchstraße 17, 10787 Berlin

The US elections this November have the potential to reshape American politics and send shockwaves across the Atlantic. Two months out, we will take stock of the campaigns of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump who are both intensifying their rhetoric. We will assess the potential election results and discuss their implications for German and European policy makers, businesses, and civil society leaders.

Instead of kicking off the event with lengthy keynotes, we will move straight to your own questions and comments on how these pivotal US elections are affecting your fields. We look forward to an interactive and lively evening.

Speakers
Thomas Kleine-Brockhoff, Director, DGAP
Daniel Andrich, General Manager, American Chamber of Commerce in Germany
Rachel Tausendfreund, Senior Research Fellow, Transatlantic Relations, DGAP

Following the Q&A, we invite you to stay for a drink and light buffet, accompanied by live jazz music performed by Tony Hurdle and the Berlin Black Stompers

By invitation only. DGAP members can bring one guest. Places are on a first-come first-served basis.
