Deal or No Deal?
The United Kingdom, the EU, and Germany ahead of Westminster’s Brexit vote
Exklusiv für Mitglieder.
With only days remaining until the British parliament is to vote on the “Brexit deal” with the European Union, Prime Minister Theresa May is less and less likely to win a majority for it in the House of Commons. She is facing strong opposition from both the pro- and the anti-Brexit camps in her own party, as well as from her Northern Irish coalition partner DUP, and the Labour opposition.
We are looking at what is at stake for the United Kingdom, the EU, and Germany in particular. Given the uncertainty surrounding the vote, we will also discuss how the UK’s domestic political situation might unfold, and which scenarios this could entail in relations with the EU.
