Hafsa Maalim is an Associate Senior Researcher at SIPRI. Hafsa previously worked as the Partnership Officer in the African Union Commission within the Office of the Commissioner, Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security. Prior to assuming this role, she served as an Analyst in the same department and also with International IDEA. Hafsa has a background in law with a focus in international law.
