In dem Early Bird Breakfast sprachen die Anwesenden über die Umsetzungen der Reformen in der Ukraine, die die Pressefreit im Land sicherstellen sollen. Wenngleich Medienrechte und Pressefreiheit existieren, dominieren ukrainische Oligarschen die Medienlandschaft.

In the Early Bird Breakfast the panelists talked about the implementations of reforms in Ukraine to ensure the liberty of press in the country. Although media rights and press freedom exist, Ukrainian Oligarchs influence the media landscape.

Demographic decline will have a significant impact on Russia’s economy, society, and security situation in the mid and long term. Russian leaders are failing, however, to establish adequate policy responses in the areas of migration, the labor market, education, and health. An academic conference in Berlin with Jack Goldstone and other distinguished experts addressed the consequences of demographic change in Russia.
