Visual Event US Foreign Policy and Transatlantic Relations

Escalating tensions in the Middle East, Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine, and intensifying geopolitical competition with China are reshaping the global order and placing increasing pressure on transatlantic cooperation. At the same time, shifting political dynamics in Washington and the upcoming US midterm elections raise questions about the future direction of American foreign and security policy.

Against this backdrop, the event will provide an opportunity to engage with H.R. McMaster on the future of U.S. foreign policy and the prospects for transatlantic cooperation in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape. Drawing on his decades of military service and leadership and his tenure as senior advisor to Donald Trump, he will reflect on current developments and their implications for Europe and the broader international order.
