Policy Project: EU Strategic Autonomy in Security and Defense: Towards a New Transatlantic Bargain?
Iulian Romanyshyn is a fellow of the Charlemagne Prize Academy at the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) at the University of Bonn. Prior to joining CASSIS, Iulian was an adjunct lecturer of International Relations at New York University and a junior lecturer of European studies at Maastricht University. He holds a PhD in political science from the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. In the past, Iulian was a visiting researcher at the European University Institute in Florence and the Institute for European Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He also worked in the Policy Department of DG External Policies at the European Parliament and in the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). Iulian holds a Master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and a Master’s degree in Analysing Europe from Maastricht University.
