Policy Project: How to strengthen trust in the expertise of think tanks in intercultural contexts: The example of Ukraine
Ljudmyla Melnyk is a research associate and head of the project “German-Ukrainian Researchers Network” (GURN, 2019–2022) at the Institut für Europäische Politik e.V. in Berlin. Since 2016, she has been designing and coordinating various projects that explicitly target Ukrainian think tanks. The focus of all her projects is the promotion of policy analysis and the cooperation between Ukrainian and German think tanks. Since 2017, she has been implementing the Ukraine Breakfast Debates at the IEP. Her international experience includes an external expert position at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), and consultancy work in the field of international communication and discourse analysis.
Ljudmyla Melnyk holds a M.A. (2016) in Translation with a focus on consecutive and simultaneous interpreting as well as Inter- and Transcultural Studies (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), a Magister Degree (2009) in German Studies, and a B.A. (2008) in Philology (Lessja Ukrainka University Volhynia, Luzk/ Ukraine).
