DGAP’s Research Institute regularly brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in foreign affairs. On May 15, we will look at the new German government and its foreign policy priorities. Just days into his term, Chancellor Friedrich Merz traveled to Paris, Warsaw, and Kyiv to address pressing questions on Ukraine as well as the transatlantic relationship. Together with our guests, we will identify the issues that should top Merz’s foreign policy agenda and assess the extent to which he is renewing Germany’s voice in Europe and the world.
