This exclusive exchange on the sidelines of this year’s Munich Security Conference will bring together female decision-makers and members of DGAP’s network to explore the essential role of collaboration in shaping a more secure and sustainable future for all, including innovative strategies and lessons learned.

The world is currently facing complex challenges that go beyond traditional security concerns. For example, pandemic preparedness is a highly politicized issue, resource scarcity is exacerbating conflict, and climate change is already forcing large numbers of people to leave their homes. The need for cooperative global governance has never been more urgent.

The “Women@DGAP” event series was launched in summer 2022 by female members of DGAP for female members and employees of DGAP as well as other interested parties. These events aim to provide a platform for women within and beyond DGAP to get to know each other and the work of DGAP, to create space for new initiatives, and to build a network of women active in foreign and security policy. At MSC 2025, the format will offer an exclusive, intimate setting for exchange among international and German women leaders.
