These days, media coverage is filled with talk about how to fight polarization, demagogues, and authoritarianism – and rightly so. Meanwhile, a considerable number of organizations have responded to our fraught political times by striving to reinvent democracy as we know it. Although their efforts may get less press, the field of democratic innovation is rife with promising approaches that even go beyond better-known ones such as participatory budgeting and citizens assemblies.
At this event, we will explore how think tanks can use the principles of collective intelligence to not only contribute to this wave of democratic innovation, but also to foster their own capacity to innovate. Together with Smarter Together, we will dive deeper into the value of collective intelligence and invite participants to share their own experiences and good practices.
