Every Thursday morning at 8:30, DGAP’s Research Institute brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in geopolitics. This week, we will look at the situation in Sudan. As a result of fierce fighting there between government troops and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Western governments have evacuated their citizens. We will assess the international implications of the conflict, which are especially hard to predict given Russia’s involvement through the Wagner Group.
