Every Thursday morning at 8:30, DGAP’s Research Institute brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in geopolitics. This week, we will assess Saturday’s dramatic attack on the Kerch Bridge linking Crimea and Russia. We will focus on its implications for the military situation in Ukraine and Russia’s reaction, which so far has been a resumption of the terror bombing of Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.

We will also discuss the effects that Russia’s war on Ukraine has on the Wider Black Sea region and the geopolitical challenges they cause – not only for the EU but also for the newly founded European Political Community (EPC). Furthermore, we will examine the geopolitical and security consequences of this war on other parts of Europe and the world, especially regarding the recent escalation of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. How the EU should respond there?
