Emily Adams is a German Chancellor Fellow (2024–2025) under the supervision of Rachel Tausendfreund at DGAP and supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Her research in the framework of this fellowship explores how regional economic disparities shape democratic trust and foreign policy alignment.
Previously, Adams has interned at the Brookings Institution Center on the United States and Europe and the German American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago. She completed a Fulbright Grant in Chemnitz, Germany.
Adams earned a Masters of Public Policy (MPP) at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy with a focus on finance and data analysis. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in economics, German, and Chinese with honors at North Central College (IL). Her passion for foreign policy and economic development has been shaped by several academic and language study programs abroad.
