DGAP’s Morning Briefing

This episode, the panel assesses some of the geopolitical challenges facing Germany in the new year. We will see a range of elections, including in the United States and European Parliament, that will be beset by growing fears of election interference and disinformation campaigns. Russia’s war of aggression will continue to shape security politics in Europe. The climate crisis will increase already significant pressure on governments to act. Yet amid such critical circumstances, the German government seems anything but stable and questions are being raised about its prospects as a trusted strategic partner. In short, our panel of DGAP experts have a lot to discuss in our first briefing of 2024.
