Professor Thomas Pogge has been an associate fellow in DGAP’s Center for Climate and Foreign Policy since September 2024. He has been the Leitner Professor of Philosophy and International Affairs and founding director of the Global Justice Program at Yale University since 2008. Previously, he taught philosophy and political science at Columbia University in New York for 25 years. 

Pogge is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and president of Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP). His book World Poverty and Human Rights has also been published in German as Weltarmut und Menschenrechte.
