Iliriana Gjoni is a research analyst at Carnegie Europe in Brussels. She is a native of Ulcinj, Montenegro.

Gjoni is a US Department of State alumna, representing Montenegro at the SouthEast European Youth Leadership Institute in Washington, DC and as a music diplomacy fellow for the OneBeat program. She operates at the nexus between political science and classical music, in both of which she holds advanced degrees. She has worked as a news anchor and moderator for the national station Montenegrin Television, an interpreter for five languages, and a NGO consultant in Montenegro and Albania, as well as a piano teacher, in school management, and in PR in Karlsruhe and Munich.
