Wouter Zweers is a research fellow in Clingendael’s EU & Global Affairs Unit. His research revolves around the external dimension of EU policy making, with a special focus on EU enlargement and the Eastern dimension of the European Neighborhood Policy. Wouter coordinates Clingendael’s “Balkan Hub,” a project in which the institute engages with think tanks from the Western Balkans in joint research and events. Furthermore, he is the secretary of the Russia and Eastern Europe Knowledge Alliance (REKA), a Dutch network of experts and practitioners dedicated to enhancing knowledge about Russia and Eastern Europe in the Netherlands and to increasing its accessibility for both policy-makers and the wider public.
