Michelle Grunwald is now studying for her Master's degree in Climate, Earth, Water, Sustainability at the University of Potsdam after completing her Bachelor's degree in Physical Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. She is writing her master's thesis at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research on social-ecological modeling of climate-induced migration. She joined Fridays For Future in 2019 and focuses on issues around international perspectives on climate justice, extractivism, and decarbonization. She has solidified her interest in international politics through many academic and private study abroad experiences. With the goal of bringing scientific knowledge into the political discourse, Michelle is working on data analysis and visualization on climate migration within the fellowship.
