Christian Gerl has been part of the board of the Young DGAP since October 2024. He is a risk consultant in the consulting division of Ernst & Young Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft and works primarily in the areas of corporate risk management, sustainability reporting and the translation of geostrategic risks into corporate action. He studied Politics, Economics and Philosophy (MSc) at the University of Hamburg and Peace and Security Studies (MA) at the IFSH in Hamburg, with stays abroad in Lebanon and Norway. Christian has been leading the Regional Forum of Hanseatic Cities since 2019 before being elected to the board in 2024.
