Migration Messenger
The work of the “Migration Messenger” project has covered two main strands of research since its inception in 2018:
- Migration management, in particular return policies and deportations, migration cooperation with countries of origin and transit, and border controls, and
-
Migration communication, including societal attitudes toward migration and asylum; political communication in increasingly polarized societies, and migration communication across borders, with a special focus on Europe and Africa.
The one-year project “From Here to EU: How to Talk About Migration in Africa" falls under this strand of work.
The project is implemented by DGAP’s Migration Program and supported by Mercator Foundation
