Launch of Think Tank Lab

New Initiative for Co-Creative Advancement of German Think Tank Landscape

In disruptive and uncertain times, the role of think tanks is more important than ever. But think tanks themselves face a variety of internal and external challenges, ranging from populism and declining trust in science to questions surrounding diversity and staff development. To help German think tanks address these challenges, the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) together with the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) have launched a new initiative – the Think Tank Lab.

The Think Tank Lab aims at the co-creative advancement of the German think tank landscape by fostering innovation, providing training, and facilitating the exchange of good practices and collaboration between think tanks.
