US citizens went to the ballots on November 8, 2016. What does the  election campaign – and its outcome – say about the American political system? A discussion of the outcome of the election and initial analysis of both the results and possible future developments took place at the DGAP the morning of November 9. The event, available as an audio file below, was jointly organized by the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and the German Atlantic Association.
