Maksym Samoiliuk is an Economist at the Centre for Economic Strategy in Kyiv, Ukraine, where he has worked since 2021. His research focuses on macroeconomic sustainability, monetary and fiscal policy, and regional economic development. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Maksym has concentrated on identifying the country’s most pressing economic issues and developing policy solutions in response. Maksym is in charge of the Monthly Economic Review and the Ukraine War Economy Tracker, both of which provide useful insights into the economic situation in Ukraine during the full-scale war. Maksym holds a Bachelor’s degree (2020) and a Master’s degree (2022) in Economics from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” in Kyiv, Ukraine, with a focus on developing innovative economic strategies.
