Paula Martini is a Research Assistant in the Africa and Middle East Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. Before joining SWP in this role, she supported the institute’s research project on autocratization as a student assistant. She previously worked at the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF) and the Otto Suhr Institute’s Center for European Integration. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt University, and the University of Potsdam.
