Dietrich Becker is a founding partner of Perella Weinberg Partners and has over 30 years of experience in investment banking. Prior to founding Perella Weinberg Partners in 2006, Mr. Becker served as Co-Head of the Global Industrial Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley, where he was one of the most experienced German investment bankers.

Mr. Becker has advised on numerous transformative M&A transactions around the world. In addition to his focus on industrial companies, he is responsible for many client relationships in the German-speaking region, where he regularly advises publicly listed companies on M&A transactions, defense against hostile takeovers, and various forms of shareholder activism.

Mr. Becker earned his MBA from the New York University Stern Graduate School of Business (NYU Stern) and completed the First State Examination in Law at the University of Cologne. He has served on the Executive Board of NYU Stern since 2016 and has been its Chairman since 2024.
