Susanne Wiegand is an honorary member of the DGAP Board. She an experienced executive leader with over 20 years of senior management experience in international publicly listed companies and family-owned businesses across the defense, mechanical engineering, and shipbuilding industries. She has a strong track record in growth strategies, IPOs, and corporate transformations. Most recently, she served as CEO of RENK Group AG, a position she held until the end of January 2025.

From 2001 to 2005, she worked as a consultant for companies such as Fresenius, Daimler, and ThyssenKrupp. In 2005, she took on a leadership role at ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems GmbH, where she was responsible for strategy, business development, and M&A. Beginning in 2007, Susanne Wiegand held executive roles at various shipbuilding companies, including Nobiskrug GmbH, German Naval Yards Kiel GmbH, and Lindenau Werft GmbH. In 2018, she joined Rheinmetall AG as CEO of the Electronic Solutions Division and served on the Defense Executive Board.

Susanne Wiegand currently serves on the supervisory boards of Volkswagen AG, BWI GmbH, and Brenntag SE. She also holds several other board positions, including on the board of Quantum Systems.

She earned a Master of Business Administration from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.
