Short Bio

Rosa Beckmann joined DGAP in 2025 as head of its Think Tank Lab. The Think Tank Lab acts as a platform, learning space, and source of inspiration for innovative and impact-orientated think tank work. The aim of the project is to provide important incentives for the professionalization and further development of the think tank sector in Germany and Europe and to empower think tank employees to initiate structural changes.

Beckmann started her career working in the Brussels office of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in the field of networking and science communication. She then supported the work of the German Social Democrats in the European Parliament as a policy advisor for foreign and security policy and climate diplomacy before heading the consulting and communications departments at the Berlin-based company 4strat. There, she also worked as a consultant for foresight processes as well as a project manager and team lead.

Beckmann studied general and comparative literature studies, political science, and European studies in Berlin and Maastricht.
