Laurent Weißenberger was elected to the board in October 2024, where he was elected deputy chairman of the Junge DGAP. He is studying for a master's degree in International Relations at Humboldt University, Freie Universität and the University of Potsdam. He also works as a program assistant in the Public and Leadership Program at the Aspen Institute Germany. In his studies and his work, he focuses on soft power and the Francophone world. He was active in the Young DGAP for two years as a regional director in Baden-Württemberg and initiated a cooperation with the Greek EU Youth-Hub.
