Based in London, Sébastien Maillard is associate fellow with Chatham House (Europe Program) and special advisor to the Jacques Delors Institute, working in its Centre Grande Europe. He previously served as director of the think tank, which he joined in 2016 after a career in journalism at La Croix, a French daily. He was correspondent in Brussels (2007–2010) and Rome (2013–2016), covering Francis’ pontificate. He also co-headed the newspaper’s world desk and covered Macron’s first presidential campaign.
