Nicolas Peter is a professor in space policy and international affairs at the International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg, France. He is the resident faculty responsible for education and activities in Space Policy, Economics, and Law (PEL) across all ISU programs. Peter also heads the ISU “Space Policy and Entrepreneurship lab” (SPEL) that is a dedicated research laboratory addressing issues and trends in the domains of space policy, space law, and the space economy, including New Space, worldwide. Further, he is involved in the management of the ISU incubator dedicated to space.
Nicolas Peter has more than 20 years of international experience in space policy on 4 continents and 8 countries. He has co-edited three books on space affairs; has published over 120 reports, book chapters, and articles in peer-reviewed journals; and presented at international conferences related to space activities. Peter is on the editorial board of New Space Journal as an associate editor, and he is a regular peer-reviewer for other journals.
