Policy Project: The Circular Chemical Economy as a Carbon Sink

Camilla Oliveira is Project Manager at Agora Energiewende. She works with topics related to the decarbonisation of industrial sectors in Europe and Brazil at Agora Energiewende. Camilla is particularly interested in the transformation of the chemical and steel sectors, the future of plastics, and the policies needed to boost energy and material transformation. She is a graduated chemical engineer and a PhD in energy planning with a focus on the role of bio-based plastics in the Brazilian energy transition. She has 6 years of experience as a researcher at the Center for Energy and Environmental Economics, publishing scientific papers and reports on the decarbonisation of industrial sectors.
