Joanna Klever has been an active volunteer with DGAP since 2018. She has been co-chair of the Young DGAP Board since 2020. She was simultaneously co-opted to the DGAP Board as the Young DGAP representative. Klever studied political and administrative sciences at Leiden University (Netherlands) as well as at Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. After working in communications and political consulting for several years, she joined the office of Jürgen Coße, a member of the German Bundestag, as head of foreign and European policy in 2021. Her focus is on global health, democratization and strategic communication. Both within the Young DGAP and beyond, she is committed to the advancement and representation of women.
