Lena Borgstedt has been working on the DGAP project “Foreign and European Policy in the Ruhr Area” since June 2020. Based in Essen, she organizes events to engage citizens in dialogue on policy-related issues.
Previously, Borgstedt was head of the Europe Direct Information Centre Dortmund, a project of the European Commission. There, she informed citizens about the European Union and organized European policy discussions and debates.
Borgstedt earned a BA and Laurea Triennale in German-Italian studies from the Universities of Bonn and Florence. She also has an MA in European studies from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi.
