Dr András Rácz New Research Fellow on Russia

Dr András Rácz joined the Robert Bosch Center for Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia in September 2019. He will focus on Russia’s foreign, security and defense policy, Russia’s relations with the post-Soviet countries as well as with Central Europe.

Previously, he was Associate Professor at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest, Hungary, and Non-Resident Research Fellow of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute operating in Tallinn. Between 2014 and 2016, he was Senior Research Fellow of the Finnish Institute of International Affairs in Helsinki. Earlier, he worked inter alia as Senior Research Fellow at the former Hungarian Institute of International Affairs and was visiting researcher at the Transatlantic Academy of the German Marshall Fund in Washington, D.C. He was fellow of the European Foreign and Security Policy Studies (EFSPS) program of the Volkswagen Foundation. András Rácz earned his PhD in Modern History in 2008 from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.
