Throughout his distinguished career, Ambassador John Bolton has been a staunch defender of American interests. During Donald Trump’s first term in the White House, he served as assistant to the president for national security affairs from April 2018 until his resignation in September 2019. From 2007 until 2018, he worked as a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC. From his appointment in August 2005 until his resignation in December 2006, he served as United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
