Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine has profoundly reshaped the European security order and placed questions of deterrence, resilience, and strategic responsibility at the center of political debate. At the same time, intensifying global power shifts – including uncertainty about long-term transatlantic engagement and increasing geopolitical competition – are challenging Europe’s capacity to act. The event will provide an opportunity to engage with Aleksander Kwaśniewski, former President of the Republic of Poland, on Poland’s role in Europe, the future of Euro-Atlantic security, and the strategic importance of German-Polish relations.
