This episode, we take a closer look at the escalating crisis in the Middle East. Roughly one year after the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023 – and one year into a conflict with tens of thousands dead or wounded and hundreds of thousands displaced – there is no end in sight. As observers anxiously await Israel’s next move following the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and the Iranian missile attack on Israel on October 1, we assess the options ahead. We also discuss why the international community, including key European countries such as France and Germany, has been unable to calm the conflicting parties and stop the suffering.
