Sławomir Sierakowski is a Senior Fellow at the German Council of Foreign Relations (DGAP) and an expert on Central and Eastern Europe. In 2020, he covered the protests against (non-EU-recognized) Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko live from Minsk. In this interview, he shares his knowledge on Protasevich's activities with Nexta, the fears of the Belarusian government, and why it risked international sanctions to abduct Roman Protasevich out of a passenger airplane on 23 May 2021.
