Think Tanks and Technology
The OTT Conference 2020 was supposed to take place in Berlin in April but, as most organizations around the world, we had to postpone the event due to the COVID-19 crisis and the risks and limitations it poses. However, we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to exchange with and learn from the global think tank community on the original conference date. So we decided to host an online conference. With 125 participants from 37 countries, the first OTT online conference was a big success. You can read the report and watch the videos of all sessions here.
This month we are back with our second OTT online conference! The event will take place from June 23 to 25 on Hopin. We are excited to connect with you again and to continue our conversations on how technology affects the context, research agendas, organizational development, and practice of think tanks. The past few months have shown that this topic is more timely and relevant for many think tanks than we could ever have expected.
As last time, we will also have sessions covering other issues faced by think tanks that take the changes and challenges brought about by COVID-19 into account. These include a conversation with think tank funders as well as sessions on staff wellbeing and productivity in remote settings, and how to adapt your think tank’s impact strategy in times of crisis. Throughout the conference, you can connect with other participants in online coffee rooms, exchange virtual business cards, and meet new people via a random match-making tool.
