The “Task Force Eastern Partnership” was introduced in September 2011 as a cooperation project between the DGAP and the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The group’s members are Markus Meckel, Georg Milbradt, Friedbert Pflüger, Christian Schwarz-Schilling, Rainder Steenblock, Rita Süssmuth, Günter Verheugen, and Karsten D. Voigt. It is coordinated by Irene Hahn and Gereon Schuch.

The group’s goals are to spread the momentum for the Eastern Partnership that was generated by Poland’s EU Council Presidency in the second half of 2011, to reflect the EU’s relations with its eastern neighbors, and to critique German foreign policy.
