DGAP’s Research Institute regularly brings together experts and high-level guests to discuss the latest developments in foreign affairs. On November 20, we will look at the technology and politics behind what has become known as the drone wall. Following a range of Russian drone incursions into Poland and other EU countries, policymakers are looking for answers. The European Commission has set out to build an anti-drone system that is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2027. We will assess border security and – given the recent drone activity within Europe, including at airports and power plants – ways to prevent domestic risks.
