Svenja Bounin was elected to the board of the Junge DGAP in October 2024. Prior to that, she was active as deputy regional director of the Junge DGAP Munich and as a co-opted board member of the Junge DGAP. She is a project manager at the Munich Security Conference Foundation. Before joining the MSC, Svenja Bounin gained work experience in the events department at the Hertie School in Berlin. She studied International Relations with a focus on Global Political Economy (GPOE) in Dresden and Bogotá and obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Intercultural Studies from Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences with a semester abroad in Argentina. During her studies, she gained work experience in the field of foreign policy and international cooperation, including at the German Embassy in Kathmandu, at regional offices of political foundations in Costa Rica and Myanmar, and at the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). Prior to that, she gained insights into the corporate sector and cloud software at SAP.
