Georg Graf Waldersee, born in 1955, served as a member of the DGAP Presidium from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, he has been a member of its Executive Board, serving as Treasurer.
After studying economics and business administration in Bonn and Hamburg (earning a degree in business administration), he began his professional career in the audit and advisory field for major international companies. Until 2016, he held senior leadership roles for many years at Arthur Andersen and later at EY, serving on international governance bodies. Since 2016, he has served on the supervisory boards of various companies, some of them publicly listed. Waldersee is active on the boards and advisory councils of several nonprofit organizations focused on education and socio-political issues. Since 2018, he has served as Chair of the German National Committee for UNICEF. In both 2019 and 2021, the German federal government appointed him as Special Envoy for Ukraine gas transit.
