Dina Abdel Fattah is Assistant Professor in economics at

the American University in Cairo. In addition to her work

in academia, Abdel Fattah has served as an independent migration,

gender, and labor market expert working with a

number of local, regional, and international institutions. Dina

has received her MSc (2009) and PhD (2017) in Economics

from the University of Sussex, UK. Her doctoral research

focused on the economics of young women in Egypt, preceded

by an MSc focusing on return migration and entrepreneurship

in Egypt.
