Andreas Falke, professor emeritus of international studies at the School for Business, Economics, and Social Science of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, is director of the German-American Institute Nürnberg.

Previously, he served as principal economic specialist at the US Embassy in Berlin. Falke earned his PhD and habilitation from the University of Göttingen. He was a Kennedy Memorial Fellow at Harvard University as well as a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution and, most recently, the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies in Washington, DC.
