Andreas Falke is Professor emeritus for International Studies at the School for Business, Economics and Social Science at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Director of the German-American Institute in Nürnberg.

Before he assumed the chair for international studies in Nürnberg, he worked as principal economic specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin. He received his PhD and the post-doctoral degree (habilitation) at the University of Göttingen. He was a Kennedy Memorial Fellow at Harvard University and was a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution, and most recently at the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies in Washington DC.
