Wiebke Ewering has been leading the Press and Communications department at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) since 2019. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of the DGAP's external communications strategy. DGAP is committed to fostering impactful foreign and security policy on a German and European level that promotes democracy, peace, and the rule of law. Since its founding in 1955, the nonpartisan organization’s members and research have continued to shape the debate on foreign policy issues in Germany.
Previously, Wiebke Ewering worked as a Press and Public Relations Officer at the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), at the Dahrendorf Forum at the Hertie School of Governance, and at the Franco-German Youth Office. Wiebke holds a joint Master's degree in Political Science and European Studies from the Free University of Berlin and Sciences Po Paris, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Osnabrück and the Université de Montréal.
