The United States is expected to play a major role in opening the connection between Azerbaijan and its exclave Nachichevan via Armenian territory and enhancing connectivity in the South Caucasus. If this materializes, Armenia could become a key hub for connectivity between Europe and Asia. Furthermore, Armenia is moving closer to the EU. It has expressed interest in EU integration and has initiated the process for a visa liberalization agreement.
